History Remembered – through the stories of life on the Home Front during World War 2
The memories of schoolchildren who lived through the years from 1939 – 1945 have been recorded for everyone to understand how it felt during this difficult time.
Twelve men and women who now live in Stockport and the surrounding area recall their experiences about:

As children they lived as far away as Glasgow, London, North Wales and Kent, as well as locally in Manchester, Stockport and Hayfield and their stories vividly capture how life was for children at the time.
These contributors are living people, keen to meet and talk to those interested in History – and we can assure you that by talking to them it will allow you to ‘touch History’
