Treasure Hunt for Primary Schools
This activity has been organized by members of Stockport Normandy Veterans Legacy to introduce families to World War 2 links within Stockport. It is a QR based Trail that uses What3Words as location references and as a family group you will have to answer quiz questions to be able to progress to the next location. The Trail has been designed by two primary teachers who took into account the distance that would have to be walked and the number of locations you will visit, as well as aiming to appeal to the interests of children. It will take between one and two hours in total to complete, depending on how long is spent at each location. The route is not circular, but the start and finish points are close to bus routes.
You will need a phone that scans QR codes; What3Words app; and sufficient battery life on your mobile phone.
Our members are keen to ensure that this fun activity is also a safe family activity and the route has been planned to avoid busy traffic, but please be aware that this Trail involves crossing the busy A6 road on one occasion. You will be aware of the need to ensure that all members of your family group cross all roads safely, using designated pedestrian crossings when these are available.
If you continue you have confirmed that you understand the need to keep safe on this QR Trail.
If you do the Trail you will need to get into various buildings. The opening hours are:

Sunday 11 am – 4 pm
